ASSIST Basketball pals – invitation
Traditional games are played by all children, they have known rules and their integration into basketball training tactics offers them a familiar environment to encourage their participation and continued engagement with basketball, thus contributing to their interaction with other children and to their social inclusion,
The Invitation template “Basketball palls” has been be developed to help children invite their friends facing social barriers,to participate in project’s activities.
So,this invitation that the children will make to their “basketball palls”, provides equal opportunities and access to everyone with the aim of participation from all social groupsand aims to make it easier for young people with fewer opportunities to stay active and improve their physical conditionand mental health.
ASSIST Traditional games report
The Traditional Games Report provides an overall view of 20 traditional games, record, review and taxonomy, to relate them to Basketball training programs.The identification of traditional games for the whole consortium was led by the coordinator Evnikos Sports Clubwho prepared atraditional game record and taxonomy templateto use it from all partners, for homogenized data.The special featuresof every traditional game,analyzed and evaluated to see how they can be incorporated into basketball trainingtactics.A total of 30traditional games were recorded, from which the 23considered most suitable to be associated with youth basketball training programs were selected and presented in this report.
ASSIST Youth basketball training programmes
The Youth basketball training programs report,provides an overall view of 12existing youth basketball training programs identification,to relate them to Basketball training programs.
The identification of youth basketball training programs,for the whole consortiumand beyondwas led by the coordinator Evnikos Sports Club.The structure of training programs will be studied, analyzedand grouped. The importance of social inclusion will be emphasized that: Knowing the existing structure of training programs, innovative training tactics based on the rules of traditional games will be developed and integrated into the training programs.
A total of 21youth basketball training programs wererecorded, from which the 12considered most suitable to be associated with traditional games rules.
3 of the total 7 extra sections that were recorded and studied by the coordinator Evnikos Sports Club, with training program instructionsfor training youths in basketball sport, have been added to the report, toconsider more extensively the international situationbeyond the participant countries.
