Promoting equality and European values
in and through sport

About —
The ASSIST project aims to revolutionize youth basketball training by incorporating traditional games into training programs, making participation more inclusive and enjoyable for children
The ASSIST focuses on mapping and analyzing existing basketball training tactics, developing a manual for trainers that integrates traditional games to ease children’s adaptation while fostering teamwork and comfort. The project delivers the “ASSIST” intervention package, combining training for children under 18, parental information sessions, and promotional events in participating countries. Through extensive evaluation, it assesses the impact of integrating traditional games on basketball participation as a tool for social inclusion. ASSIST also prioritizes wide-reaching dissemination of results through social media, events, and workshops to engage stakeholders and inspire active lifestyles among young people.
